Customizing Business Solar Energy Solutions in Lehigh County Pennsylvania

  1. Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lehigh County Pennsylvania by George Hege: I contacted 3 solar companies when we decided to consider going solar. Christopher Richardson was by far the most helpful and honest of the representatives I talked to. He provided clear answers, was available when needed, but did not use any high pressure sales techniques in an attempt to seal the deal. Lumina's installation team was efficient and professional. There was a mix up on their end that delayed our ability to go live for about 2 weeks but they took care of it. We've now been producing electricity for 6 months and continue to recommend Lumina to anyone who is considering solar.
  2. Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lehigh County Pennsylvania by Matthew Cawthorne: I was really excited with the idea of getting a rooftop PV system, and Lumina had really good reviews. Their price was nearly identical to another very highly rated company in my area and I liked the look of the REC panels so we went with Lumina. During the initial sizing I proposed a symmetric configuration that was pleasing to the eye and was told 'we can discuss the exact configuration during the engineering phase'. Well, I was never contacted until all of the approvals were complete and at that point it was too late to get the configuration that I wanted. The Lumina configuration was unsymmetric and had 1 fewer panel on the highly productive south facing roof. It was not the end of the world, but I take pride in the aesthetics of my house. In the end I was able to get them to make it symmetric, but with the one less panel in the good orientation. The biggest problem, however is that the panels on the front of the house are in a nearly ideal orientation, facing almost south, and with a roof pitch that is good for this latitude. The 400+ watt panels are oriented well enough that they should be able to generate close to 400 watts during the middle of the day (cloud cover permitting). Lumina specified and installed 300 watt inverters so those panels never produce more than 300 watts. Instead of a sine wave for production I get a curve that is clipped flat on top. 300 watt inverters are ok for the back of the house where the sun angles are not as ideal and the panels cannot produce as much power, but not for the front. So why am I giving them 4 stars? Well, their Operations department that scheduled and performed the installation did a really good job and were a delight to work with. The workmanship is really good and everything has been functioning for the first 16 months of operation. There were no surprises in the pricing.

Phillip was amazing at not only walking me through the process and helping me pick a system that fit my needs, but also answering any of the many questions I had throughout the entire process and keeping me updated from start to finish. Install day went without a hitch, and both the installers and electricians did an amazing job of explaining the process of installing all 36 panels and any electric work needing to be done! 11/10 would recommend for any and all solar needs!!
  9. Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lehigh County Pennsylvania by Jonathan Rubin: Super excited to be working with Christopher! He just came out to my house and gave me a thorough run through of everything that it would take to outfit our house with a complete solar system. It’s a no-brainer!
  10. Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lehigh County Pennsylvania by Stephen Mould: I had inquired about Solar with an undecided mind and open to allmoptions. I knew very little about the realities and many questions. I was lucky enough to be teamed up to a represenative named Matt Dier. He was well.prepared, struck the right balance between asking for info before our zoom meeting, yet not overbearing. Matt spent over 90 minutes explainibg the program, the beneifits, return on investment and other variables. I did not end up purchasing, bytbthat was only because at my stage in life and ny specific needs, it did not fit. Matt took the No like a professional, and answer3d all of my questions with patience, professionalism and focusing on building client relations even at that point. Definitely consider this company if contemplating Solar but more importantly ask for Matt!!!
